Dan In Real Life

5.) I don't really think people should date before they're in high school. Before then, it's just more of a status and rushing into things. As far as dating in high school goes, that's 100% fine, but don't go thinking that you should run off and marry during high school. 80% of the time, that won't end well, but if you're part of that 20% that can make it work, then more power to you. It all comes down if you are ready to spend the rest of your life with another person. I just personally don't see how you can date if you don't reasonably see yourself having a future with that person.
I mean, the point of dating is to spend the rest of your life with them in mind, but I don't really plan on marrying anyone I meet in high school, so what's the point?
12.) Illicit love is more appealing than a normal relationship. It's like when you tell a child not to press a button, but their curiosity gets the better of them, and they press it anyway. Not telling someone to do something is the one sure-fire way to get someone to do something. Plus, the first moments you meet someone are when you're infatuated, but not necessarily in love. Those are two completely different things. Being with someone long-term is accepting their flaws, and realizing that despite those flaws, they can still be perfect. It's not the same passion that starts a relationship, that dies over time ,but it starts a chain between the two that is stronger. Some people want that high again, but don't want to break that bond, so they cheat.
8.) Best Pick Up Lines
  •  "Is your name Ariel, because mermaid for each other."
  • " Is should call you Google, because you have everything I'm looking for."
  • " Is your dad a preacher? Cause girl you are a blessing."
  • "I don't believe in love at first sight, but I'm willing to make an exception in your case."

17.) My perfect day would probably be spent on a beach, surrounded by multiple dogs. It would be one of those days where it's warm, but not necessarily hot out. There wouldn't be a single cloud in the sky, so when the sky turns from hues of orange and yellow to a dark shade of ebony, I can gaze at the stars. I would like to picture that as the close to a really busy day. It doesn't really matter as much to me what, as I can't really predict where the future will take me. Maybe I'll win a science award, maybe I won't. Maybe I'll play at a concert, or I won't. Or perhaps I'll have a book signing or something. What it is doesn't really matter as much to me, as long as I can make the time to go outside and do exactly that. Being kept busy puts me into a kind-of energy high, like an inner radiance. I'm not particularly sure how to explain it, but it's sort of like a caffeine buzz intertwined with warmth.
22.) I agree with Dan that life's full of disappointments. It's just kind of how life is. I like to think that there is an equal amount of hurt and joy in the world. It's one of those things that makes life, well, life. They're like the yin and yang of the world, but one couldn't exist without the other. Lows make highs high, and high make lows low. I'd rather have a rollercoaster of thing in life than a straight, unwavering line. That would be a pretty sucky rollercoaster.
28.) I have never had trouble getting over anyone, mostly because I refuse to date. Single life is so much better than being in a relationship. I can be who I want, do what I want, and I have so much more free time. I wouldn't reject a relationship, but I couldn't be in one of those clingy couple relationships where they are never apart. I personally need my space to breathe.
